One of the main reasons why I’m interested in the energy sector is because I think the tensions in Iran will continue to mount. There is a good chance that Isreal will strike before the summer months and if this happens the Oil sector will rally as speculators fear an oil shortage. There are areas in California where Gas prices are already over $6 a gallon. This is something that I’ve been predicting for many months now and it’s just the beginning. Hyper-inflation is right around the corner and this is a position that will help hedge us in those conditions. My main positions are XLE, GLD and SLV.
